Programs & Community Initiatives
Just 4 Us Foundation provides inclusive, community-based programs designed to strengthen individuals, youth, and families. Our programs and initiatives are organized around four core pillars: Community Wellness & Family Support, Youth Empowerment & Violence Prevention, Workforce & Financial Empowerment, and Arts, Media & Creative Expression. Through education, creative engagement, peer support, resource connection, and skill-building opportunities, we help participants strengthen confidence, resilience, independence, and community connection.
COMMUNITY WELLNESS & FAMILY SUPPORT
Supporting individuals and families through wellness education, peer support, grief and loss support, disability inclusion, caregiver resources, and connections to community services.
Grief Support Circles
Community-based grief and loss support offering opportunities for participants to process loss, strengthen coping skills, connect with others, and access appropriate community resourses thfuh gieded discussion, peer support, journalling and creaeitive expression.
Mental Wellness & Peer Support
Community-based wellness activities designed to promote emotional well-being, reduce isolation, strengthen healthy coping strategies, and connect individuals and families with appropriate behavioral health and community resources.
Family and Caregiver Support
Resource navigation, educational workshops, and community connections designed to help families and caregivers access information, strengthen support systems, and advocate for the needs of loved ones.
Wellness Retreats
Community wellness experiences incorporating education, reflection, creative activities, healthy coping strategies, and opportunities for participants to connect, recharge, and strengthen personal well-being.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT & VIOLENCE PREVENTION
Supporting individuals and families through wellness education, peer support, grief and loss support, disability inclusion, caregiver resources, and connections to community services.
Put Down the Guns and Pick Up a Camera
A youth violence-prevention and creative media initiative that uses filmmaking, photography, storytelling, and digital media to help young people develop constructive ways to express themselves, strengthen their voices, learn marketable creative skills, and create messages that promote hope and safer communities.
Youth Empowerment Summits
Interactive gatherings that bring young people together for leadership development, mentoring, life-skills education, positive peer engagement, career exposure, and creative activities designed to strengthen confidence and future planning.
Youth Mentoring & Leaderships
Mentoring and leadership activities that help young people identify strengths, establish goals, develop communication and decision-making skills, and build positive connections with adults and peers.
WORKFORCE & FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT
Helping youth, adults, and families strengthen economic stability through practical financial education, workforce preparation, career exploration, entrepreneurship, and independent-living skills.
Financial Literacy & Money Management
Practical workshops covering budgeting, saving, banking, credit awareness, financial goal setting, responsible spending, and everyday money-management skills.
Workforce Readiness & Life Skills
Skill-building activities focused on employment preparation, communication, goal setting, workplace expectations, organization, problem-solving, and other skills that support greater independence.
Career & Entrepreneurship Exploration
Workshops and community experiences that introduce participants to career pathways, entrepreneurship, creative industries, and opportunities to turn personal interests and talents into acheivable goals.
ARTS, MEDIA & CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Using accessible arts, performance, storytelling, and media to encourage creativity, confidence, self-expression, inclusion, and community connection.
You Can Act Too
Inclusive acting and performance activities designed for individuals with disabilities and participants of varying abilities. Participants explore storytelling, role-play, communication, confidence-building, and creative expression in a welcoming environment.
You Can Dance Too
Healing Through Faith and Film
A creative storytelling initiative using film, writing, reflection, and artistic expression, to explore resilience, hope, personal growth, grief, and life experiences while helping participants develop their voices through media.
OUR APPROACH
JFUF programs are designed to be accessible, welcoming, and responsive to the communities we serve. Programs may be delivered through workshops, community events, educational sessions, mentoring, creative activities, peer-led experiences, and collaborative partnerships. Activities are adapted to participant needs and emphasize dignity, inclusion, empowerment, creativity, and meaningful community participation.
